BESE publishes the research achievements of researchers in various fields of seismology and earthquake engineering as peer-reviewed original research articles. This quarterly is published in Persian and its aims and scopes are as follows:
- Publishing the original and novel results of research by researchers in various fields of seismology and earthquake engineering;
- Reviewing and critique of new and old theories in various fields of earthquake sciences;
- Improving the scientific level of various fields of seismology and earthquake engineering by publishing scientific articles in these fields;
- Establishing communication and scientific-research cooperation between researchers in various fields of seismology and earthquake engineering.
- Publication of the journal as a scientific quarterly at the national level and Persian-tongue countries.
- Publishing scientific and research articles in accordance with the instructions of the commission of scientific journals of MSRT.
- Acceptance of articles based on scientific evaluation. Papers presented at scientific conferences and seminars could be included but need to be improved and evaluated like other papers and published if approved.
